By combining Chiptech’s long-standing expertise in digital telecare, safety monitoring and connected alarm solutions with Hepro’s established portfolio of assistive devices and digital care platforms, we can offer a more complete ecosystem for independent, safe and dignified living at home and in care facilities.
Founded in 1987, Hepro is one of Norway’s leading suppliers of assistive devices and digital care technology. Through the Hepro Response platform and our Hepro Care network, we already provide digital supervision, medication support, personal safety alarms, communication tools and remote monitoring to home care, assisted living and institutional settings. The agreement with Chiptech further strengthens this ecosystem.
The new distribution agreement with Chiptech further strengthens this offering and supports our ambition to be a trusted partner for resilient, connected care services.
Chiptech has played a central role in the transition from analogue to digital telecare in Australasia and the UK, and is widely recognised for safety, reliability and strong customer support. The company has delivered and supported more than half a million digital telecare devices worldwide, including both in‑home base units and mobile GPS solutions.
Their products are designed around the needs of the individual, with a focus on reliability, ease of use and real‑world performance. Combined with Hepro’s own design, manufacturing and platform capabilities, this creates powerful new opportunities for innovation in technology‑enabled care in the Nordic markets.
Under the agreement, Hepro will work closely with Chiptech in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Iceland to deliver resilient, scalable digital care solutions.
This collaboration is further strengthened by Hepro Care A/S, which is now active in the Danish market, and Zafe Care Systems AB (soon to be Hepro Care AB), part of the Hepro Group and based in Sweden. Zafe Care supports more than 200 municipalities with safety alarm and care technology solutions that promote independence for users while enabling more efficient and sustainable care delivery.
This end‑to‑end ecosystem aligns with the growing need for sustainable models in health and social care, where services must be both person‑centred and resource‑efficient.

The partnership between the two organisations builds on a long‑standing relationship between David Hammond, CEO UK and Europe at Chiptech, and Geir Tore Jakobsen, Group CEO of Hepro. Both share a strong commitment to quality, innovation and delivering the best possible technology and service to the care sector.
“By joining forces with Chiptech, we strengthen our position as a complete provider of digital care and safety solutions in the Nordic region,” says Geir Tore Jakobsen, Group CEO of Hepro. “This collaboration gives us a clear competitive advantage and allows us to offer unique solutions to municipalities, housing providers and end users.”
“Partnerships like this are crucial for us going forward,” he continues. “With Chiptech on board in all the countries where we are intensifying our efforts, we can offer a coherent and integrated solution for people living at home with safety and social alarms. This not only enhances safety and independence for individuals, but also strengthens the resilience of care services.”
