Yevheniia was diagnosed with cerebral palsy in early childhood. Since then, her everyday life has been closely connected with therapy, learning, movement, and continuous development. She has been using a wheelchair for several years, and while it is an essential part of her daily life, it is just that – a tool. It helps her participate and move, but it does not define her or set her limits.
Today, Yevheniia is 9 years old. She is growing quickly, both physically and emotionally, and she impresses everyone around her with her perseverance. Her family does everything they can to support her development and help her take new steps towards greater independence.
Zhenia attends a specialized school, where she actively participates in lessons and enjoys being part of a learning community. In addition to her main studies, she takes a music class, which she truly loves. Music gives her joy, motivation, and confidence – and it is an important arena where she experiences mastering and belonging.
Outside of school, Yevheniia works regularly with different specialists:
Each session is another step forward. Progress can be slow, but it is real – and it matters. Every small improvement contributes to her opportunities for participation, movement, and independence.

The family’s biggest dream, and the goal they work toward every day, is for Yevheniia to be able to walk independently. They believe in her, and they believe that consistent work, strong support, and the right equipment can make a difference. For them, the pathway forward is about combining professional follow-up with appropriate assistive technology tailored to her needs.
Her Krabat Sheriff wheelchair has been a reliable companion in daily life. It allows her to move, explore, learn, and take part in activities with others. Over time, it has naturally shown signs of wear. As Zhenia grows, the saddle seat has become worn and somewhat small, so the family carefully adapts it with additional materials to ensure it still provides support and comfort.
Even so, the wheelchair remains essential. At this stage, Yevheniia cannot manage without it, and it continues to play a key role in her daily mobility and participation.
At Hepro, we are proud to be part of journeys like Yevheniia’s. Stories like hers remind us why we develop and adapt assistive devices: to support people in living active, meaningful lives with as much independence as possible.
For children like Yevheniia, the right assistive aids are not just products – it is an enabler. It helps them grow, learn, and move forward, one small step at a time, every single day.
